I have spoken things over with my sister and we have decided to book our summer holidays and travel to Benin. Our motto is that ‘you only live once and we both would love to visit Africa. I think that would be fantastic and I would love to meet you and Gwendoline your brother. We were going to go to Weston Super Mare originally to stay at Hetties Wainthrops bed and breakfast, but visiting you in Africa would be far better and a real adventure for both of us. We have not traveled outside of Europe before.

We would not like to make any pressure on you family and so have decided to stay at the Awalé Plage Hotel in the Popo. They say it has a beautiful beach and wonderful wildlife and there you can watch the local fishermen. How far is this from where you live? Does this park have elephants and lions? How would we get there from the airport? Could you pick us up, I will pay for the petrol if it is a long way. Would you and your brother like to stay with us there at the hotel? No funny business though, not until we know each other. I would pay for you, and my sister would pay for your brother.

We would travel on the 18th July and stay for one week. I am have just provisionally booked online the flights - Air France AF 814 arrives on the 18th July at 19:15 local time. We would return home on the Air France AF 813 which leaves at 23:25 on the 24th.

I have received your photographs my love. I have shown them to Gwendoline and she is still not happy. She is frothing at the mouth. I am afraid she wanted you to write the messages by hand on large pieces of paper; she said this has been typed and is too small. You have to be in the picture holding the messages and thay have to be bigger than the last time.
She has told me she will only accept this and nothing else. She said what you have sent is a load of old bollocks!

Today I have been into my bank and asked for the money in good faith. I have ordered the currency, but I still need my sister to sign. My bank manager Bulldog Drummond will not release the funds without both of us signing. That is the only thing that is holding us up and our chance to be together. So please do what she has asked. I have attached a scanned copy of the letter from the bank and all she needs to do is sign it for me to get the money for our deal.
